Kirsch CPA Group Named to Inside Public Accounting’s Top 400 Firms in U.S.
Aug 20, 2026
Capping six years on the list of the country’s 500 largest accounting firms, Kirsch CPA Group moved up 26 positions and a bracket in 2026 into the ranks of Inside Public Accounting’s Top 400 firms by revenue.
Our ranking at #390 on the IPA list of the largest firms in the U.S. reflects a period of significant growth for our firm on multiple fronts, beginning with our transition in 2024 to an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP).
For Kirsch, the ranking represents more than increased revenue. It reflects the trust of our clients, the commitment of our employee-owners and our continued investment in the people and services that growing businesses need.
“This growth reflects the dedication of our incredible team and the trust our clients place in us every day,” said founder John Kirsch. “We’re proud of the momentum we’re building and excited about what’s ahead.”
Inside Public Accounting’s annual Top 500 list is based on net revenue and includes firms ranging from the Big Four to #500. The annual rankings are based on information submitted through IPA’s Practice Management Survey and provide a snapshot of firm size and growth across the accounting profession. This year marks Kirsch CPA Group’s sixth year on the list of the Top 500, among other honors.
Kirsch Grows Amid a Shrinking Pool of CPAs Serving Privately-Held Businesses
Kirsch’s continued growth allows us to expand our expertise while preserving the responsive, personal relationships that have defined the firm for 35 years. Our goal is not simply to become a larger accounting firm. It is to become an even more valuable advisor to the businesses and families we serve.
That commitment is especially meaningful at a time of significant consolidation in the accounting profession. While many independent CPA firms have been acquired by private equity or combined with larger organizations, Kirsch has chosen a different path. Becoming “employee-owned” through an ESOP has helped us preserve our independence, culture, and long-term client relationships. Our transition to employee ownership strengthened our commitment to the success of our clients and employee owners while creating a long-term succession strategy for the firm.
Having completed our own ESOP transition Kirsch CPA Group also brings firsthand perspective to business owners considering employee ownership as part of their succession strategy. We help owners evaluate whether an ESOP can protect their company’s legacy, reward employees and create a foundation for continued growth.
