Over the course of more than three decades, the Kirsch CPA Group has been providing the owners of small and mid-size, privately-held businesses across Cincinnati and southwest Ohio, southeast Indiana and northern Kentucky with a unique, holistic and forward-looking approach to accounting and financial advisory services.

Founded in 1991 by John Kirsch, the firm grew from a one-CPA operation to one of the largest firms in its market and an organization consistently ranked among the best firms in the region, as well as one of the best places to work.

The firm’s focus on helping growth-minded entrepreneurial clients achieve their goals includes an unwavering dedication to providing comprehensive, customized and results-oriented services with a personalized touch.

In 2024, the firm took the step of becoming an employee-owned business as part of a long-contemplated succession plan designed to protect the firm’s unique culture and reward the loyalty and hard work of a talented team. As an ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan), the Kirsch CPA Group team looks forward to the next phase of the firm’s dynamic history in serving the needs of its hard-working clients.

John Kirsch founds Kirsch CPA Group LLC in October in Oxford, Ohio

1993

Satellite office opens in Fairfield, Ohio

1998

Pete Abner joins Kirsch as an intern

2008

Satellite office opens in West Chester, Ohio

2010

Janis Bergeron becomes the firm’s first remote employee

2012

Pete Abner named a partner
