Janis Bergeron Named Kirsch CPA Group COO
Kirsch CPA Group
Jul 01, 2022
In two decades with Kirsch CPA Group, Janis Bergeron has been at the center of multiple firm “firsts.”
In 2010, Bergeron became the first Kirsch Group employee to work remotely, long before remote work was a workplace trend.
She established and grew the firm’s first audit department, from two employees to five.
“Janis has been instrumental in the growth and success of this firm for two decades and there is no one better qualified to oversee our continued growth over the next decade.”
–Founding Partner John Kirsch
It’s a tradition of firsts that Bergeron continues this month, as she steps into her new role as the firm’s first Chief Operating Officer.
Founding partner John Kirsch called Bergeron’s promotion both a “tremendous plus,” as well as a critical transition for the firm which has experienced dramatic growth over the past several years.
“Janis has been instrumental in the growth and success of this firm for two decades and there is no one better qualified to oversee our continued growth over the next decade,” Kirsch said.
As COO, Bergeron will oversee the day to day operations of the firm and enable the firm’s partners, Pete Abner and John Kirsch, to focus more on helping clients and developing our next generation of leaders.
Delivering on the Promises of a First-Rate Firm
Bergeron said that while it will be hard to give up some of the client assurance work that she loves, she is looking forward to being able to take a key role in ensuring that the firm’s internal processes are first-rate and poised to deliver on the promises that clients have come to expect from the firm.
A specialist in financial statement audits, internal audits, reviews, internal control assessments and risk analysis for both for-profit and not-for-profit organizations, Bergeron has long been a force in the firm’s efforts to help clients make smart and forward-looking business decisions.
In her new role, she will continue to drive that commitment to our clients’ success, ensuring that the firm has the right people, processes and training to provide the highest quality accounting and advisory services.
We are incredibly proud of the work that Janis has done over 21 years with the Kirsch Group and looking forward to her continued contribution as our new chief operating officer.
