Kirsch CPA Group recently hosted our inaugural Future Accountants Leadership Program and we are delighted with the outcome.

Throughout the program, our goal was for local university accounting students to gain a firsthand experience of our operations, immerse in our innovative and collaborative culture, explore careers in accounting, discover the vibrant downtown Hamilton community, and enhance their skills by tackling real-world accounting case studies. We curated a series of workshops and interactive sessions designed to offer valuable insights into the world of accounting and how they can stand out in their career.

The program featured a variety of engaging activities and sessions, including:

  • “A Day in the Life”: This session provided students with a realistic glimpse into the daily/weekly/monthly responsibilities of an early career analyst at Kirsch, offering invaluable practical insights.
  • Breakout Sessions: Students participated in the Business Advisory & Business Model Canvas activity and case study, which allowed them to delve into business strategy and planning in an interactive setting.
  • Specialized Sessions: Detailed sessions on Tax, Audit & Assurance (A&A), and Advisory services gave students a comprehensive overview of these crucial areas in accounting.
  • Networking Opportunities: Students had the chance to connect with the Kirsch Team, fostering important industry relationships and networking skills.
  • Visit to InsideOut Studio: A special thank you to InsideOut Studio for hosting us! InsideOut Studio, supported by a partnership with the Butler County Board of Developmental Disabilities, provides opportunities for artists with disabilities to produce, market, and receive an income from their art, while gaining confidence in their abilities. The students learned what a CPA Firm does for InsideOut Studio and had the bonus opportunity to work with artists on a glasswork art project! Each student created a suncatcher made of glass, and we love how they turned out!

What made this event truly special was the dynamic and enthusiastic group of future accounting professionals who joined us from various universities in the area. Their passion for learning and commitment to personal and professional growth were evident in every interaction and activity throughout the program.

As we reflect on the success of our inaugural Leadership Program, we are filled with optimism and excitement for the future of the accounting profession. The talent and potential exhibited by these aspiring accountants serve as a testament to the promising future that lies ahead.

Save the Date for 2025!

We are excited to announce that the next Future Accountants Leadership Program will be held May 20-21, 2025. We look forward to welcoming another group of bright and enthusiastic students for two more days of learning, networking, and professional growth.
